Pastoral Counseling of Northern Virginia exists to extend the reach of congregations as they seek to fulfill their historic mission of caring for the hearts and minds of persons. PCNV seeks to provide the highest quality pastoral counseling services at an affordable cost to all persons regardless of race, religion, or national origin. We are informed by the wisdom of faith traditions as well as the insights of behavioral science in our understanding of and therapeutic approach to the healing of persons and their relationships. We not only see persons for whom their faith commitment is profound in shaping their lives, we also see persons who claim no faith orientation. We do not proselytize. We recognize the power of faith commitments in the shaping of self-understanding, of relationships with others, and of one's emotional health. We encourage our clients to make use of their faith commitments as a resource for their own healing and growth.
